Look at this little pouch bag I found from a Japanese department store Takashimaya at 5th Avenue. Isn't it just amazing. It is a travel evening bag, which flattens out completely for easy packing. It's made of factory excess textile waste. The designer is called Josh Jakus. I feel like the luckiest felter in the planet to own this unique purse!

I made this little bag for Marianna. It's made of Knit Picks Telemark. I tried this one with the hand felting method, and I admit that the washing machine does do a better job. Turned out pretty, though!

This is the NYC yarn I was talking about. I'm in a process of making a little wristlet pouch. I used 5.5 mm needle and already felted it with the Soak soap. Turned out pretty amazing thanks to the hand dyed yarn coloring.

New York Yarn Shopping

South of Houston Street i.e. SoHo has a little cute yarn store called Purl Soho. I went there with Nikolas in the Ergo baby carrier. We had a great time! I bought moss green felting yarn called Manos Uruguay, a unique dye lot Lorna's Laces sock yarn and some more baby alpaca from Blue Sky Alpacas. And a little bottle of Soak, a fraganced wool soap. Right next to the yarn shop is a adorable little pastry place called Once Upon a Tart. I had a mouthwatering mini tart with potatoes and mushrooms.
